As a brand new entry in Samsung’s popular Galaxy M series, the Galaxy M51 exists as a higher-placed alternative to the Galaxy M31s , which was launched earlier in July. However, belaying expectations, the Galaxy M51 has only been launched in Germany for now, with news about the global launch still anyone’s guess.

The Galaxy M51 smartphone brings with it several notable improvements appearing to be very much in line with what the leaks had suggested over the past few days, with the biggest selling point of the device being the 7000mAh battery pack, which also supports up to 25W fast charging. A switch to Snapdragon processor has also been muted.

Here’s a complete laydown on everything new with the Samsung Galaxy M51 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy M51 Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is anything to go by any Samsung phone with the device sporting a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a centered hole-punch and full HD+ resolution.

Although Samsung’s official listing doesn’t make it clear which processor the phone is using, reports point to the device been powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, as previously speculations.

The phone offers a single 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage variant with support for MicroSD card expansion. The smartphone runs on Samsung’s custom OneUI, based on Android 10 operating system.

In the camera department, the Galaxy M51 features the same setup as the Galaxy M31s, packing a rear camera 64MP primary sensor, coupled with an f/1.8 lens. Sat next to it is a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens that brings with itself the promise of 123-degree field-of-view, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a 32MP lens which remains unchanged from the Galaxy M31s.

However, the insane 7,000 mAh battery is what gives the Galaxy M51 its headline. The 6000 mAh battery fitted on previous Galaxy M series phones was the largest in its segment. Also, Samsung has includey a 25W fast charger inside the box, the same one that comes with the Galaxy M31s and some of Samsung’s recently launched flagships.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2: Every product Samsung Announced at its 2020 launch event 8

Samsung’s second major launch event for the year, the Galaxy Unpacked 2020, is finally over. As usual, a plethora of new products and announcements were made.

There was an official public appearance for the Galaxy Note 20 phone lineups, alongside a host of other products such as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Watch 3.

The online-only launch event which saw no in-person attendance was very much along the lines of what had been expected, as Samsung announced pretty much all that it had been tipped to over the past few weeks.

Also, with increasing pressure from competitors who have been wrestling unrelentingly to be a major force in the tech ecosystem, it was left for Samsung to up its game in the premium-end of the market.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new releases from Samsung as well as a detail-esque run down on them.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+

Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ have been launched as the company’s latest tablets that promise to combine the “power of a PC, the flexibility of a tablet, and the connectivity of a smartphone.”

Quite a handful but inasmuch as you don’t expect it to run the role of a PC, you’re good.

Of the two new tablets, the Galaxy Tab S7 comes with an 11-inch LCD display running at a resolution of 2560×1600, while the Galaxy Tab S7+ gets a 12.4-inch AMOLED screen with a higher resolution display running at 2800 x 1752 pixels.

Samsung has also announced that both tablets will support 120Hz refresh rates, and bring the same slim bezels design.

Running of under the hood, the new tablets are powered by the Snapdragon 865+ chipset which has been paired with either 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage.

Furthermore, the Tab S7 and S7+ ship with the S Pen. However, the book cover Keyboard accessory still remains an optional one. There’s also support for DeX mode on the two tablets.

Tablets don’t come cheap especially when they are flagships, do they? Maybe, not at all.

The tablets will be available later this year, with the Tab S7 starting retail at $650 and the Tab S7+ going on sale for $850.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes in a PREMIUM* stainless steel or titanium case.

The watch brings to access to over 40 different workout modes, seven exercises that can be automatically detected, an improved running mode, trip detection, and more.

The Galaxy Watch 3 is slated for public purchase starting August 6. The Galaxy Watch 3 has been announced in 41mm and 45mm variants. The watch starts at $400 for the Bluetooth model, with the LTE models starting retail at $450 and $480.

The company has announced the arrival of the much-awaited Galaxy Buds Live. The TWS earbuds feature a new shape which the company claims are extremely ergonomic and provides a comfortable fit.

For features and gimmicks, the new Buds use AKG-tuned 12mm drivers which, along with a bass duct improves sound quality.
Galaxy Buds Live come with three microphones and Voice Pickup Unit.

There is also the presence of the ever-needed earbuds feature which is Active Noise Cancellation for open type bringing the best of both: live and spacious sound quality, with the ability for you to tune in (or out) of the world around you.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 builds on the DNA of the original Galaxy Fold, however, there are a few differences here that set it apart from its predecessor.

For specifics, the inner screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 now has a punch-hole selfie camera. The outer display is also bigger, and now covers almost the entire area of the front of the phone, instead of just a part of it as we saw on last year’s Galaxy Fold.

The front display also received s makeover and is now equipped with a selfie camera housed within a punch hole. The design of the rear camera module has also been changed quite a bit, as it appears to look very much like the one on the Galaxy Note 20.

The phone also shares the Mystic Bronze color reminiscent with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 20.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

The Galaxy Note 20 devices seems like those London buses you wait a long time for one, but then they now come in droves.

Though, we have a dedicated review coming up for both smartphones, it’s worth mentioning them hear as one of the standout products at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.

The Note 20 Ultra will bring with itself a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3088×1440 pixels, while the Galaxy Note 20 gets a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display which is capped to a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels.

Both the Galaxy Note 20 series phones will bring with them the latest Snapdragon 865+ chipset with a functional 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM options respectively.

For cameras, the Note 20 Ultra will feature a 108-megapixel main camera sat next to a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera that supports 5x true optical zoom.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20, on the other hand, only gets a 64-megapixel camera for telephotos with 3x hybrid optic zoom, a 12-megapixel primary camera, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Both devices will suit a 4,000+ battery juice with the Galaxy Note 20 coming in at 4,300mAh battery, while the Note 20 Ultra battery will be a respectable 4,500 mAh pack.
