Apple AR Glasses could launch in 2022, Hybrid AR/VR Headsets expected in 2023 1

Apple is reportedly working towards getting its concept Apple AR Glasses to the public as early as 2022.

With the Coronavirus pandemic having taking it’s toll on company revenue, no doubt Tim Cook and co. is actively striving to diversify it’s increasing range of products portfolio.

They always do!

The San Cupertino giant was also recently awarded a patent for taking virtual group selfies and it doesn’t seem to relent yet with a possible new product – AR Glasses in the works.

The Apple AR Glasses mission first garnered public interest after reports Apple have hired a team of 100 AR employees, since then, the tech world is already taken note.

Facebook-owned Oculus Quest have been the frontrunner for sometime now, they might be having a worthy competitor soon.

However, reports by Bloomberg point to the Apple AR Glasses not being the only AR product Apple is planning on releasing.

There’s another ultra-high-resolution VR/AR hybrid headset in the works for 2023 as well. The two devices are codenamed – N421 and N301.

The expected design and are still under wraps with the entire public being treated to series of renders on what might be.

We’ve heard talks about Apple’s AR Glasses and it does look like they’re going to be a reality until the dusk raised by the pandemic is settled.

The more intriguing product in the line-up is the Apple hybrid AR/VR headset.

According to the report, the headset is tipped to come with a high resolution display and cinematic speakers for a truly immersive experience.

This practically aims to make it impossible for a user to differentiate the virtual world from the reality.

Even though Apple probably will not announce these products at its upcoming WWDC 2020. We expect to start getting more updates about them from the subsequent Apple conferences.

Two things we are sure of, Apple will hope it doesn’t fall failure to the new-product-factor and…it won’t come cheap.

Xiaomi unrelenting yet in it’s quest to increase it’s ever-growing range of tech products has moved to announce it’s biggest Power Bank yet.

The company over the weekend launched the Mi Power Bank 3,n which features a mind-blowing 30,000mAh capacity and a 24W self charge.

A big statement of intent by the Chinese OEM to address the age-old problem that is lack of long-lasting smartphone batteries with reports the Mi Power Bank could charge the iPhone SE (2020) more than 10 times and its own flagship Mi 10 about 5 times.

Mi Power Bank 3 Design & Features

Mi Power Bank 3 features and design

The latest power bank from Xiaomi is a big upgrade over Power Bank 2 and comes in a rock-solid rectangular design with every port aligned to one side of the device.

The power bank has two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and one Micro-USB port.

The USB-A and USB-C ports are rated to deliver the 18W fast charging to the connected smartphone, given it also supports the same charging rate.

While most of Xiaomi’s and 2020 smartphones come with 18W fast charging or more, this could be Xiaomi’s most relevant contribution to having long lasting battery life in smartphones yet.

Also, the Mi Power Bank 3 comes with 24W charging for itself using the USB-C port with the cable bundled alongside the power bank.

However, when using a 30W Xiaomi charger, which will always comes with new smartphone purchases, the battery pack will charge even faster.

But it should be noted that the USB-A port can charge the power bank at only up to 18W.

Furthermore, while most power banks have issues providing the required current to products such as smartwatches and wireless earbuds, which do not require a high voltage and are charged rather more quickly than smartphones, Xiaomi has given the Mi Power Bank 3 a contingency low-power mode to provide the right amount of power for them all.

To enable the low-power mode on the Power Bank 3, the button given on the side needs to be pressed twice.

Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 3 Price & Availability in Nigeria

The 30,000mAh tech has only been launched in China for now, but Xiaomi may look to bring its latest power bank to other markets, including Nigeria.

The Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 3 comes at a price of CNY 170, which translates to approximately NGN10,000 Nigerian naira.

In China, the Mi Power Bank 3 goes on sale via JD.com starting June 18.

Xiaomi’s Mi Power Bank 3 might easijy be seen as nothing more than just the Beijing-based company increasing it’s products’ portfolio which is quite a huge gain.

But for a Continent as Africa, where people rely on power banks to charge their smartphones multiple times without needing to be around the main power source, this could be its major statement of intent yet.

Apple to launch Airpods Studio 'Headphones' after Apple Beats and Airpods 2 success 13

Recently, Apple Inc. appears in the mood to churning out slew of new products for its user base with a rumoured Apple Studio in the mix.

From a proposed smart glass to smart Apple TVs and just that Apple Watch they can your sleep.

Who knows, we might get Smart Speakers (if it ain’t launched already)

The latest product supposedly in the works but making rounds on the internet is long-rumoured over-ear noise cancelling high-end headphone under Apple branding dubbed – AirPods Studio.

As per Digitimes, Apple is likely to kill its wired earphones production and resume the AirPods 2 production in the second half of the year. The source also claims that production for Apple rumoured AirPods Studio headphones has now begun.

So, you might be wondering, what is it with Tim Cook this time around!

Apple Airpods Studio: What is it?

Apple Airpods Studio

The high-end headphones were first rumoured in February 2018 by former KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Later, it was estimated that the headphones would launch sometime in the second half of 2020.

Dubbed the very first Apple-branded over-ear headphones though the confusion doesn’t end there with reports stating the new headphones will join the AirPods lineup alongside the AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro, and it’s supposed to be different from Apple’s Beats lineup, which happens to have a wide range of over-ear headphones.

Hehehe, a whole bunch of things to plug on the ear actually

However, the new tech certainly seems to come with very nice features which we already expect in a headphone.

First, the new AirPods Studio is rumoured to come with Active noise-cancelling, which cuts down unwanted noise to let you focus on the audio alongside a transparency mode that reduces the audio volume and let you hear the ambient noise.

Pretty much basic, is it?

As per a report by 9to5Mac , it is said to have AirPods-like sensor-based ear detection feature that stops the music when the earphones are taken off. In place of ear detection, Apple is working to include sensors that can detect whether the headphones are on your head or neck.

It is said to boast of a new sensor that will enable the headphones to recognise left and right ears to route audio channels automatically. Which means, there won’t be fixed left or right earcups and can be worn without checking for left and right channel.

They’ll sure have a name for this; S-21 Levitate, Bionic or something else. Just a brand name!

Bloomberg also reports that Apple had tested at least two versions of the headphones – a high-end premium variant and a fitness-oriented made with lightweight materials.

Both the options are said to have magnetically swappable ear cups and headband padding that will let users customise its look by merely switching the padding, similar to Apple Watch bands.

Considering the fact this company prices it’s branded tech at ridiculous amounts, the Apple Studio don’t seem to be an exception.

The Apple Studio is rumoured to cost a cool 350USD(approx ₦140,000) which will no doubt see it compete against other noise-cancelling headphones from companies like Bose and Sony.

However, no imminent launch date for now!

If all this pans out accurate, expect to see folks in this part of the world placing orders on Amazon and the like but first thing then…

What do you make of Apples rumoured headphone? Is it right at $350 for an entry-level tech? Let’s talk about it in the comments section.
