I’ve been quite busy handling my final year project in school and a lot of jobs for clients. When I’m not blogging, I’m a product designer. I basically design apps and websites for brands and companies before it’s developed. You can take a look at my portfolio here  to see what I’ve been up to –  https://www.dribbble.com/naijatechguy

Also I think I would be needing active tech writers here so when I’m not available content would still be here. The past two months have been hectic and extremely stressful and I’m sorry the blog had to take the hit for all the stress.

Huawei P Smart 2020 and MatePad Pro unveiled in renders

Why I Went M.I.A For Almost Two Months And What Lies Ahead 6

Huawei’s P Smart line already has its 2020 member planned. The phone has recently been certified with 3 cameras by TENAA and now some renders have come up which show us the possible look of the phone. Images also include the MatePad Pro tablet.

Regarding the design, it seems that P Smart 2020 will not present anything new. We still have the droplet notch, a glossy back cover, and the triple chamber configuration. Specifications will be a slight upgrade from 2019.

  • Kirin 810 Processor
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 128 GB internal storage
  • 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP Main Camera
  • 16MP front camera
  • 3,900 mAh battery

In addition to memory upgrades, P Smart is expected to bring improved cameras and the inclusion of an ultra-wide lens finally. If Huawei wants to avenge this mobile phone in the Portuguese market, it will have to compete with Samsung’s A line, which features very interesting equipment.

MatePad Pro is a pseudo rival to the iPad

The MatePad Pro, also known as MediaPad M7, will be the brand’s next tablet. The tablet has varied colors, bringing some variety to the tablet market, which usually features equipment in black, blue and silver.

We also have a rear dual camera and a “hole” design on the screen, where is the front camera. The tablet comes with a USB-C port, biometric reader under the glass and a pen holder and keyboard case.

However, this tablet will have the same problem as the rest of the market: the operating system. Although versatile Android is a limited system when it comes to productivity. The same cannot be said of the iPad which with the new iOS 13 represents a true piece of work technology.

As long as Android stays as it is, tablets will remain big phones. Huawei does not seem to include major applications or operating system changes to make its tablets more attractive, as Samsung, for example.

Why I Went M.I.A For Almost Two Months And What Lies Ahead 8

Over the past few weeks, there have been many reports that Xiaomi is preparing to launch another model of the popular Redmi Note 8. This new model will come under the name Redmi Note 8T and has some slight modifications when compared to the original model. .

Now, although not officially introduced by the brand, it is now available for purchase from a Spanish online store for just € 199.94 . I recall that the same smartphone was spotted last week at the Giztop online store with a price of € 179.10 .

It is important to note that in the case of the Spanish store, they are selling the global variant, unlike in Giztop. It is currently only available in gray. For those interested in the blue version, they will need to register with an email account to be notified when it becomes available.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T Specifications

When compared to Redmi Note 8, this new model has only one new feature, support for NFC. Although it may seem like a minor implementation, it is a much desired tool today. Moreover, it maintains the specifications, which continue to offer excellent value for money.

  • 6.3 “inch Full HD + resolution LCD screen with drop notch
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB internal memory (expandable via microSD card)
  • Four rear cameras: 48MP + 8MP (ultra wide-angle) + 2MP (ultra macro) + 2MP (depth)
  • 13 megapixel front camera
  • NFC
  • Back panel fingerprint reader
  • 4,000mAh battery with 18W quick charge support
  • Android 9, MIUI 10

Although far from being a smartphone that offers high performance, it can guarantee impressive user experience. In addition, their cameras have proven to be able to capture fantastic photographs.

Therefore, any of the models will be an excellent investment. In the case of the original model, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, you can buy it at Gearbest for € 180 , with the variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory will currently go on sale for € 208 .

If you are looking for a more powerful smartphone, you should consider the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, which is available for € 316 (6GB + 128GB).
