We all love a bit of customization right. In this post I’ll be showing you how to enable dark mode on messenger easily and it’s pretty straightforward although it’s still being tested by facebook at the moment but you can still give a go.

How To Enable Dark Mode On Messenger

The Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger can be enabled by sending a moon emoji (this one:🌙) in a chat. As soon as you send this emoji, you will see a message pop-up at the top that reads “You Found Dark Mode!”.

Below that will be a button with “Turn on in Settings” written on it.

As soon as you tap on that button, it will take you to Facebook Messenger settings where you will see a new option called “Dark Mode”. It will have a toggle button right next to it. tap it to ON the Dark Mode.

Once you turn on the Dark Mode, Facebook will display a message saying it’s still working on this feature so you won’t see Dark Mode everywhere in Messenger. It may also appear broken at some places.

Users from Philippines, Portugal, Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia,France, UK, Canada Macedonia and Indonesia have confirmed that this method worked for them. You can try and let me know if it worked for you

Note: If the feature isn’t available for your country, turn on your VPN to any of the countries above, and enable Dark Mode, then turn it back off.

Instagram just rolled out the new Instagram checkout feature and this may likely affect Spotify shares. You will now be able to buy products directly from brand posts without leaving the app. So this might possibly mean that artistes would soon be able sell their songs directly from Instagram without using Spotify or iTunes. Instagram made this known in a press release.

Once you make your first purchase you will be prompted to store your credit card details in Instagram for seamless, one-click shopping in the future. This data will not be shared with other Facebook-related apps. Instagram will also conveniently send out shipment and delivery notifications inside the app after the purchase is complete.

  • When you tap to view a product from a brand’s shopping post, you’ll see a “Checkout on Instagram” button on the product page.
  • Tap it to select from various options such as size or color, then you’ll proceed to payment without leaving Instagram. You’ll only need to enter your name, email, billing information, and shipping address the first time you check out.
  • It is being rolled out in the US, and subsequently, it will be rolled out to other countries.

I believe this new feature might also pave the way for the unified chat system that Facebook has for Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram Direct.

According to Jane Manchun Wong, the service should use the URL Instagram.com/direct/ and should be available via a direct arrow icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
