Honor global announced the news through its official Twitter handle saying;

“Three million Honor 10s, three million thanks! Huge shoutout to all our Honor fans for supporting #Honor10! This milestone couldn’t have been achieved without your help. #BeautyInAI,”

Honor President George Zhao also highlighted that the companies goal is to rank among the top 5 smartphone OEMs globally, in the next three years, and with the figures already accumulated from the Honor 10, they are definitely on their way to achieving that soon.

This success of the Honor 10 can be attributed to its fully packed specifications, some of which includes a 5.84-inch 1080×2280 notched touchscreen and the Kirin 970 chipset similar to what we find in some of there previous devices like the Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Mate 10, and Mate 10 Pro.

Other notable features include the up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, a dual 16 MP + 24 MP rear camera setup, a 24 MP selfie snapper, and a 3,400 mAh battery.

Windows 10 Mobile Is Dead As Microsoft Officially Ends Support For Phones

Windows 10 Mobile is Dead

The support for Windows 10 phones have just ended.

Windows 10 Mobile is Dead

Although It’s very sad to see the Operating system go out of fashion, there’s nothing we can do about it. Microsoft has already confirmed that it is officially killing off support for the OS. I actually knew this would happen at some point but I didn’t know it would be this soon.

Windows 10 Mobile is Dead

So if you’re still using a Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile phone, you have less than a year to upgrade to something else preferably an Android Phone.

Windows 10 Mobile Is Dead

Windows 10 Mobile is Dead

Microsoft has already published a support page detailing Windows 10 Mobile’s upcoming End of Support.

According to the company, Windows 10 Mobile users are no longer eligible to receive updates, including security updates, from December 10, 2019. Devices that are running Windows 10 Mobile version 1703 will no longer receive support even earlier — on June 11th, 2019.

So immediately it gets to the end of support date some of the features on the device will slowly stop working and Microsoft won’t do anything about it.  Automatic or manual device backups will end on March 10, 2020.

With this notice, Microsoft just hit the final nail on the coffin of it’s mobile operating system

Alternative Option For Windows 10 Mobile

“Microsoft’s mission statement to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, compels us to support our Mobile apps on those platforms and devices,” the company said, recommending users to move to an Android or iOS device.

Android Q – See 3 Of The New Features Google Is Releasing

Android Q

Android Q is already on its way although the current distribution rate of it’s predecessor Android Pie is still pretty low, depending on how OEM’s adapt some of us might use Android Q completely skipping Android P.

Android Q

Android Q Dark Mode

Although, it’s still pretty early to confirm everything Google would be releasing on Android Q but some members of the dev team at XDA Developers already got an exclusive leak and one of the most exciting features in it is the fact that it has dark mode

Android Q - See 3 Of The New Features Google Is Releasing 13

Also, users  would get more privacy and also a desktop mode. Here a couple of screenshots

Android Q Android Q Android Q Android Q

In May 2018, Google unveiled Android Pie and actually started working on Dark Mode then and considering most of the Google standalone apps are getting dark mode, it won’t be surprising to see Google integrate it into the full OS.

There’s also a possibility this feature would enable users force dark mode on some certain applications.

Improved Privacy

If you check one of the screenshots I posted previously , you can see the new permission settings. This would give users a little more flexible control over how apps use their data.

Desktop Mode And Native Screen Recording

The new desktop mode is quite similar to the  Samsung’s Dex and Huawei’s EMUI Desktop. Also in this new version, we will also have native screen recording , something that was already available on ROMs from various manufacturers.

Like I said before, It’s still pretty early to know all the other features but be sure that Google would be following this path. We’ll get more insight once the developer preview is out

iTel A44 Air – Full Price And Specifications

iTel A44 Air

Itel Mobile just launched the iTel A44 Air and it has a set of impressive specifications so let’s take a closer look at this device

The iTel a44 Air is the latest addition to the A Series by iTel Mobile. The device comes with basically what everyone expects to see on a budget phone , a decent price and budget friendly specifications.

The device also comes with 1GB RAM, A quad Core Spreadtrum SC9832E processor clocked at 1.4Ghz and a dual camera setup. I’m a bit disappointed at the choice of processor for this device. A low-end Mediatek processor would have still done the trick

The main selling point of the iTel A44 Air is the fact that it is a budget phone is the battery life, it comes with a 2400mAh battery which is not too bad.

Nevertheless , lets take a look at the quick specs of this device:

Design and Display

The iTel A44 Air is the latest addition to iTel’s A series of Android Smartphones. The phone comes with 5.4-inch Display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 960 pixels.

The Itel A44 Air has a very classy design and also has a chequered design  that can be seen clearly at the back of the smartphone to ensure users get a good grip while holding the device. The placement of the volume keys are also very good as it allows users easily make use of it easily.

At the back of the phone you can see a very impressive horizontal dual camera setup. The cameras are supported by a high quality LED Flash to improve shots at low light conditions.

The iTel A44 Air is available in different colour options -Blusher Gold, Elegant Blue, and Slate Grey.

Considering the phone is a budget phone, the specs aren’t all that mind blowing but it’s just something I’d say is good. The phone weighs about 140g, which i feel is not too heavy but users can actually enjoy using the device nevertheless.

Camera and Connectivity

iTel A44 Air - Full Price And Specifications 14

Apart from the whole budget friendly smartphone specs and other design aesthetics you can find on the iTel A44 Air, the A44 Air Android Smartphone like most of the devices from Itel still comes comes with a rear camera that isn’t all that great but it makes the most of it.

The A44 Air comes with a dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 5 megapixels camera  + a secondary 0.08 megapixel camera for depth sensor capturing.

The back camera is also supported by an LED flash,  has HDR support, panorama.AI beauty mode While the front shooter comes with a 2megapixels camera .

However, the both cameras support Beauty mode, Scene detection, HDR, Night shots, and many more.

The iTel A44 air has 4G LTE support, while other connectivity options include includes WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth v4.2, the normal 3.5mm audio jack, USB support.

Performance and Battery

The device is powered by a Quad Core Spreadtrum SC9832E processor clocked at 1.4Ghz .However, there’s no official word yet on if there are bloatware apps on the device that can be uninstalled with the single touch of a button.

The main selling point of the A44 Air  is still the fact that it is a budget smartphone. Although there are phones that can be called a budget smartphone with better features like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with pretty impressive specifications but the iTel A44 isn’t that bad

According to iTel, The device will have 1GB RAM and 8GB of storag , that allows you to store as many of your files as you want like your docs, apps, games, music, movies / videos, and even your best photos and pictures.

But if you feel the space is small, which it is actually because apps would take 50% of the space you can expand it up to 32GB via a dedicated micro SD card slot. Now that’s pretty managable, you can check This 32gb Memory card though if you are looking for the maximum storage option.

I’m a bit disappointed that it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box considering this is 2019 and most of us haven’t even tested out Android 9.0 Pie but I think it’s because Google is still working on the Android Go version for Android 9.0 Pie  . The device has a smoother and smarter operation, quicker fingerprint sensor usage, and a faster system navigation gesture

Like I mentioned before, the A44 air is powered by a 2400mAh battery , and it is enough to last 14 hours on a single full cycle charge.

The device also can also charge fast so all you have to do is plug in your device and wait for a few hours to get it fully charged for the next use.
