ZTE's Next Smartphone "Axon M" Comes With A Foldable Dual Display

ZTE’s upcoming Axon M smartphone (model number ZTE Z999) will have a foldable design with two displays.

The dual screens of the Axon M will sport a Full HD resolution and fold out to form a large 6.8-inch display. Interestingly, each of them should be able to run two apps at the same time, which can take multitasking to a whole new level.

Specs haven’t been confirmed yet, but speculations have it that the Axon M will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, have 4 GB of RAM, and pack a 3,120 mAh battery. In terms of pricing, the smartphone may cost around $650.

I'm quite impressed with ZTE’s idea of a foldable smartphone and it sounds great on paper, but l'll love to see how it works in real life. The design has a couple of advantages, as it makes the device more compact and easy to carry around when folded. At the same time, you could get extra screen real estate when you need it just by unfolding the handset.

Although I should point out that a 6.8-inch display doesn’t seem that big considering the foldable nature of the Axon M. LG's V30, for example comes with a 6-inch screen, while the one on Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 measures 6.3-inches. Just imagine the size of the screen you would get if these two devices had dual displays like ZTE’s upcoming smartphone.
