V8 Smartwatch Review - This Watch Does Almost Everything Your SmartPhone Can Do

The V8 Smartwatch is definitely one of the most beautiful and affordable Smartwatches out there . This is my first smartwatch hands on review so I'm feeling like Donald Trump right now, ... Literally 😂😂.

The V8 is powered by a MediaTek 6261S processor running on Proprietary OS..( I really wished it was on stock Android OS. 😭😭).All the same you can still install supported Android apps.

If you want to get a watch on Android OS you can simply go for Android wear, although it'll definitely cost more than the V8.
It sports a 1.22" inch 240 x 240 pixels (261 pi) display. The device comes with 128 MB memory but unfortunately you can't use it without a memory card.

Keeping the lights on is a 380 mAh Removable Li-Ion battery. You can make calls for up to 3 hours with the watch and it can stay on stand by for about 180 hours. It comes with a couple of sensors - A Pedometer, Heart rate monitor, Motion Sensor, Thermometer, UV intensity measurement.

AntiTheft Feature
The watch also has an anti theft feature that alerts you when your phone is out of reach. I tested this out but the distance before the alert went off was far more than I expected.

It's a watch not a smartphone so don't get shocked if I reveal how many megapixels the device comes with . I thought it was a 2.0mp camera but on close observation, I saw a 0.3mp camera. So, I'll be honest the camera isn't that great.

Pre-installed Third Party Apps

The watch comes with Google Chrome, Twitter, Whatsapp and Facebook.

The V8 has a lot of color options there's red, pink, black, white and other colors.

The V8 costs N10,000. It's certainly not too expensive. If you're based in Port Harcourt you can get through device at 82 Stadium Road. If you're not based in Port Harcourt, You can order it from Prime Homes.

|UPDATE -08/06/2017 - 11 AM

I tried out a couple of apps that was supposed to send push notifications from my smartphone to the watch however only one did the job perfectly. it will display a short notification from any app you  on the watch whenever there is an alert. So if you are expecting an important email all you have to do is to look at your watch and see who sent it.The same is applicable to all apps on your phone.

How To Set Up Push  Notifications On V8 Smart Watch And Fix Connect To Bt Notifier Error

Download SW-100.Tch On Your Device from Here
Once installed on your device
Reboot Your Phone
Then Connect Your Phone to the watch
Accept all the prompts you see on your phone
it should connect successfully

p.s - if you receive a lot of whatsapp messages i suggest you open the app and unselect it from the list of apps that will send notifications to save your watch battery.
So what do you think about this device?
