Meet The Tecno Spark 2 “A Premium Budget Smartphone” – Full Review, Specifications And Price

https://www.naijatechguy.com/2018/07/meet-tecnos-spark-2-and-what-happened.html.
This is one of the best Tecno phones I have seen this year and considering the fact that it’s not an expensive device I feel the Spark 2 has all it takes to be a Flagship device , the only thing that changes that is the RAM. I spent two weeks with the device – Here’s my review video below –
Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel so you can stand a chance of winning awesome prices from smartphones to gadgets and data subscription.
O.S , DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The thing I don’t like about the device is the HiOS launcher that comes with it. It’s pretty difficult to navigate through and I hope Tecno can make improvements on the launcher but until then the best option is to install a third party launcher on the device.
Also the colors are nice and does not look over saturated, the white balance is great as well. Like all Android Go smartphones you still have the optimized lightweight Google apps – Maps Go , Gmail Go, YouTube Go , Google Go and my personal favorite Assistant Go. There’s also an Eye care feature that prevents eye strain while using your smartphone. The Spark 2 also supports portrait mode.
An interesting design change here is the headphone jack. Tecno may just have kicked off the future of headphone jacks by moving it to the bottom of the device. This move will actually make your headphones last longer. It’s an awesome move by Tecno although it will take a bit of getting used to.

The Budget Phone Killer : The iTel P32 – Full Review, Unboxing And Price In Nigeria

Published

July 10, 2018
Like most first impression posts I didn’t make an in depth review of the device because I needed to spend more time with the phone so I can put up a full proper review.
I also made a full review video of it , Please make sure you hit the subscribe button
O.S , DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The iTel P32 runs on Android Go 8.1 Oreo. iTel trims down on the bezels a bit and gives the device a metallic finish. The UI is awesome and I never experienced any lagging on the device thanks to the Android Go OS.
The colors look beautiful and not over saturated, the white balance is great as well considering the device has a 5.5′ display . Like all Android Go smartphones you still have the optimized lightweight Google apps – Maps Go , Gmail Go, YouTube Go , Google Go and my personal favorite Assistant Go.
One more thing that is striking about the display is the fact that iTel decided to opt for an awesome 18:9 aspect ratio display.
I must say it’s pretty impressive considering the fact this is a budget smartphone.
Instead of Google play music you have Boomplay instead just like the A32F. Also you can also turn on Night Mode in case your eye hurts or just to prevent eye strain.
PERFOMANCE
The major thing I’ll focus on here is the battery life. The P32 is powered by a 4000mAh non removable battery. The battery lasts for 20 hours on constant use and the only thing I don’t really like is the time it takes to go from 0-100% (about 4 hours). I think iTel should take a cue from Infinix on this part and implement the fast charge feature.Apart from that performance is pretty solid.
I watched a 2 hour movie with maximum brightness and only 15% went off the initial battery percentage. The device doesn’t over heat so it handles heat very well. However, I must point this out – if you buy the device and it doesn’t turn on when you haven’t charged it yet just plug it in and let it charge it should power up so there’s no need to get scared or worked up about it.
Just like the iTel A32F , The P32 runs on a MediaTek quadcore chipset clocked at 1.3GHz. It also comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. Although when it comes to the storage space you have just 5GB of space available so it’s recommended you get a memory card for this device.

Tecno Mobile just unveiled a new device in it’s Spark range of smartphones and this time it’s the Tecno Spark 2. I can gladly say that with the specifications of the Tecno Spark 2, It is definitely a worthy successor to the previous Spark devices.
The new Spark 2 sports a 6-inch display making it 0.5 inches bigger than last year’s edition ( The Spark K7 had a 5.5 inch Display). There’s also a higher resolution -1440 x 720 pixels , which should display sharper images. It also has an 18:9 aspect ratio and believe me this phone is a beauty to behold and is definitely worth your money. Here’s a quick rundown of the specifications of the Tecno Spark 2 smartphone.

What’s In The Box?

- Headphones
- Android Go Manual
- Itel A32F Smartphone
- Itel A32F Battery
- Plastic Phone Pack
Here’s a quick rundown of the specifications –

- 5.0 ” Display
- 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB internal expandable memory
- Dual SIM capability
- 5 MP Auto-Focus primary camera with LED flash
- 2 MP front-facing camera
- 2050mAh removable battery
The fingerprint camera is placed at the rear side of the device
Both the front and back camera are accompanied by an LED flash. The USB charging port is placed on the bottom of the device while the 3.5mm headphone jack is placed at the top of the device.
Underneath , you have a dual SIM port: One micro SIM and one normal SIM card alongside a memory card slot.
Budget phone or not, the iTel A32F is a lightweight smartphone that feels smooth to the touch.
For its official price of ₦20,500, the iTel A32F does not look like a bad deal. I’ll be dropping a few review soon. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Oukitel C8 (4G) Review – The Best Low Budget Smartphone With 2GB RAM And 4G Support

Published

March 20, 2018
So, I got the Oukitel C8 review unit from Gearbest a couple of weeks ago and I must say that during my use of the device in the past couple of weeks I’ve been very impressed. Oukitel really made the C8 a solid phone.
- OUKITEL C8 4G
- Instruction Manual
- Clear Transparent Pack
- Power Cable
OS,DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The C8 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes in 5 color variants ; I’ll certainly pick the gold one in a blink of an eye. Although the C8 also has a 3G variant, this 4G variant keeps the same 18:9 ratio display but comes with improved graphics and performance. The Oukitel C8 weighs just 155g making it a very light device however it doesn’t trim down the bezels. They look a bit chunky to me.
Looking at the display , the colors are quite vibrant and the white balance is even, the display panel comes with a rather strange 1280 x 640 resolution giving the phone a low ppi of 260.
Although 260 ppi is a bit low, we can forgive Oukitel because of the cost of the device. I know a couple of brands that the cost of their logo being on a product is higher than the cost of this phone .
I would have preferred having a higher resolution on this phone though.
Like most devices it has a protective glass and strange enough it’s not the popular Gorilla Glass we all know. Oukitel decided to go with Dragontail Glass.
It’s not something Merlin conjured from a magic spell.😁
Dragontail glass is actually the Japanese equivalent of gorilla glass.
I won’t bore you with the technical details but you and I know that a Dragon will definitely whoop a Gorilla’s ass any day. Probably when we exempt King Kong.😃😃
However, one little thing that I really don’t like about the device is the fact that the charging point is placed on top of the device so if you are a fan of charging docks, your phone is going to be upside down when charging

This Vivo Apex Smartphone Comes With Specs That Aren’t Even On The iPhone X

Published
12 months agoon
March 3, 2018
Recently, the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has announced yet another step in this direction: the Apex FullView smartphone concept has minimal edges and a retractable front camera.
The front 8-megapixel camera is hidden inside the device and appears in 0.8 seconds to take pictures. According to The Verge, this mechanism is robust not to break easily.
The Apex FullView also does not have a traditional speaker for calls. With Screen SoundCasting technology, the entire screen acts as a loudspeaker, vibrating to transmit sound. You can even hear the connection without holding the device to your ear, but the audio quality is not great.
The screen occupies almost 98% of the front. The edges have 1.8 mm on the top and sides, and only 4.3 mm on the bottom.
The fingerprint reader is under the screen, not the rear, thanks to the “Half-Screen In-Display Fingerprint Scanning” technology. Almost half the height of the screen becomes a digital reader: this means that you can pick up the smartphone simply by touching the screen with your finger and unlock it quickly, instead of aiming at a specific button.
However,Vivo specifically warns that Apex FullView is just a concept, and may not be released in the current format. However, it indicates the technologies that this and other manufacturers will adopt in the future.
