How To Replace Your Android's Navigation Bar With Android Nougat Navigation

Google finally ended the suspense for the fans, unveiling the latest iteration of its mobile OS as Android 7.0 Nougat. Everyone has to wait for the official software rollout until this fall. However, you can get the Android Nougat navigation bar right now on certain devices. However, the option to add Android N navigation bar is limited to rooted devices and to those devices that run on CyanogenMod 12 and 13.

Method 1: Android Nougat navigation bar – Root

The first option to add the custom navigation bar needs you to install the Layers Managers on your Android device. Go to the Google Play Store, search and download the “Layers Manager” app, or download the app below.

Download Layers Manager from the Google Play Store

Once you have downloaded the theme manager app, head over to the N Navbar – the app which brings Android Nougat navigation bar to your Android. Search for the “N Navbar” app in the Google Play Store search, or click the link below.

Once you have installed the app, open the Layers Manager app and select the “N Navbar” window entry. Scroll down to the page and activate the toggle switch next to “General Overlays” and press the floating icon on the bottom-right corner of the screen.

A pop-up window will ask you to confirm your action, so press “OK” when prompted and wait while your Android device reboots. Once the device boots up, you will be able to see the Android Nougat navigation bar on your screen.

Method 2: Android Nougat navigation bar – CyanogenMod Theme

If you have CyanogenMod 12 or 13 installed on your Android device, you can check out the Android N navigation bar right away. The N Nav Bar CM12/13 theme enables you to try out the latest rumored Android Nougat nav bar without even rooting your device. Simply search for the theme in the Google Play Store or download the app below.
