There are two basic methods that you can implement to change boot animation on Android with root access. You can either choose to download the boot animation and install it manually, or use the Boot Animations app.
Method 1: Change boot animation manually
While changing the boot animation manually may seem like a mammoth task, it is as easy as replacing a file. To do so, all you need is a file manager and the desired boot animation, along with a rooted Android device.
Start off by installing any of the best Android file managers that come with root permission support. Once you have downloaded the file manager, open it and grant the app Superuser permission to view and edit root files.
The second part comes down to downloading the boot animation you want to install on your device. You can find a massive collection of original and custom boot animations on theXDA Forum. Simply download the boot animation file from the XDA Themes section, orAndroidBootAnimation using the link given below.
Once you have downloaded the boot animation file, rename it as “bootanimation.zip” and save it to the local storage of your Android. Launch the file manager app, copy the “bootanimation.zip” file and paste it in the System->Media folder and restart the device. This will change boot animation on your device and replace it with the custom one.
Method 2: Change boot animation using Boot Animations app
If you’re planning to keep changing your boot animation every now and then, Boot Animations is the app you need. This app requires root access, and comes with several custom boot animations that allow you randomly customize the boot image.
Boot Animations has a file manager built into it under the “Local” tab, which allows you install the downloaded boot files. While the “Server” tab gives you complete access to dozens of boot animations available online.
Whereas, the “Randomize” tab ensures a different boot animation every time you reboot the device. You can simply tap on the boot animation, select “Install” and your new boot animation will be installed directly.
Tecno Phantom 9 is on its way
Just in case you still haven’t heard, Tecno Mobile posted a teaser of their next addition to the phantom series. This was posted on their Facebook page about last week Tuesday.
The phantom series is considered to be Tecno’s top innovations, their flagship lineup. Always incorporated with the best hardware & features from the Chinese company. The phantom 9 seems to be following the same sequence.
From the teaser, we supposedly got a few hints (not sure if this is the right word) of what to expect before it is finally revealed. And it has a couple of impressive specs I’d say.
Here are the following specifications from the teaser;
• 6.4 inch Full view AMOLED display
• Android 9 – the latest android version
• In-display Fingerprint sensor
• 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM
• AI triple camera with dual front flashlight
• 3500mAh battery
I think Tecno needs to be reminded of what a teaser mean, because at this point, you’ll have to wonder how this is a teaser. Permit me to called it a spoiler instead.
What else do they have in store? They literally listed every spec we care about in a smartphone today. Well, only time will tell.

The release for the iPhone 11 is set for September this year. Apart from the aesthetics and designs, not much is known about its specifications.
Although there have also been rumors of the iPhone 11 spec sheet, history has severally proven those type of speculations to be unreliable.
