There’s a scam going around that purports to
offer the same WhatsApp experience provided to top-tier people who
are famous, but is actually an attempt to play on your gullibility and
infect your phone with all sorts of malware and other bugs.
If you are a WhatsApp user, and they are out there, you will need to
look out for this message: ‘Hey Finally Secret Whatsapp golden
version has been leaked, This version is used only by big celebrities.
Now we can use it too.”
You should also stay alert to anyone trying to sell you magic beans
and tartan paint, but you probably knew that already. Or at least we
hope that you did.

If the message came your way and you decided to go along with it you
might want to check your antivirus protection. If it comes your way in
the future you should delete it. We will also print it and set fire to it.
But we do like to make sure of things round here.
The Metro was apparently up early with the news on this, and a lot of
the panicky comments on Twitter trace warnings back to the paper.
The report said that the bogus update is supposed to contain first
class features like video calling. It does not. Metro warned not to
download it, and we agree.
The infections mostly affect Android users, according to the paper.
We’ve checked in with the Facebook-owned WhatsApp for comment
and are waiting for a response, or poke, or like, or whatever the hell
they do over there.
We will also attempt to ascertain whether there is indeed an elite
version of WhatsApp so that we know exactly what to avoid if this
was to come up again.

Spotify for iOS finally gets the desired functionality!

It has become a habit of applications to receive functionality in a non-uniform manner, especially with regard to different versions for Android and iOS. Not being the exception to the rule, Spotify also receives functionality at different times in its various versions.

After being released for the Android version last May, Spotify for iOS received finally the popular “Sleep Timer” feature. That is, iPhone users can also fall asleep listening to their favorite music / podcast without any problem.

How to use the new Spotify feature for iOS

To use the “Sleep Timer” feature is very simple. After selecting the desired song, you will need to click on the “three dots” icon in the upper right corner and select the “Sleep Timer” option.

Then you will only need to choose the timeout where Spotify will be playing the song. You will be able to choose times between 5 and 60 minutes.

Also, for whom doesn’t have a dedicated playlist for when you are getting ready for sleep, the app has also released a new section called “Sleep Hub”. Here you will find a wide list of perfect song suggestions to accompany you in a true “beauty sleep.”

If you still can’t see the functionality on your iPhone, don’t worry. It has been officially confirmed that the feature is being released starting today. However, as usual, it will reach users in a phased manner.

Google Photos: New tool will help you keep albums organized!

Google Photos New tool will help you keep albums organized

Google Photos remains one of my favorite apps, presenting itself as the perfect way to keep all your photos and videos organized in one place. In addition, they are accessible virtually anywhere and on any device.

As one of the most popular Google Apps, they continue to invest a lot of resources in developing and implementing new features. The latest addition will help you keep albums organized by making it easy to find what you’re really looking for.

A small detail that can save you a lot of time.

The new implementation may go unnoticed for many users, but it is no less important. In the albums tab, Google Photos will start displaying a new option, which allows you to organize your albums according to different conditions.

For now, at this early stage, you will be able to keep albums organized by what has the most recent photo, which you modified less recently or simply in alphabetical order. Most likely, Google will continue to develop this new implementation to make it even easier to find the album you want.

This new implementation is coming first hand to Android smartphone users and is not yet available for iOS or the web version. However, it is important to note that it is being launched through Google’s servers. That is, it will not reach all users at the same time.

In order to receive the new implementation, you need to have the latest version of the App, so make sure you don’t have any updates available.

Although it has not been officially confirmed, it is believed that once reaching all Android users, the new feature will eventually also be available for iOS and the web version of Google Photos.
