TECNO HIOS REVIEW - TECNO'S NEW AWESOME UI 1

You must have heard of the Tecno very own customize
HioS UI in which I’m so sure of that their next device
will come with; it comes with lots of features that will
make you want to dust off your current launcher and
willfully embrace HiOS UI.
The Tecno HiOS UI is an advanced user interface that
improves efficiency of your smartphone. comes with
awesome features which includes;

1. HiOS Wallpaper is another section that allows setting
of wallpapers within the HiOS UI. You can customize
your wallpaper with files within your phone or SD
card

2. The HiOS user interface features the Hi Theme. Hi
Theme is the center of theme changing. Choose your
device theme and give it a new feel. Improve your
device elegance and beauty by choosing an improved
HiOS theme.

3. Hi Manager is the management center of the whole
HiOS. Within this section or app icon on your all
drawer while using the HiOS UI, tap the Hi Manager
to reveal settings.

4. Hi Manager allows updating of the icon size, the
desktop apps. The grid interface and the color. This is
the control point of the Tecno smartphone.

5. Fonts were not a thing of Tecno phones. You could
not change the device display font on the phone. But
now with the HiOS UI you can change the font and
feel of the Tecno phone.

6. The Tecno HiOS UI has power management
techniques. With the HiOS user interface your battery
will never down within a short time. It also allows
the auto switching when your battery drains to a
lower percentage.
The HiOS will automatically change to power saver mode
when your battery is possibly below 30%. You phone
can still go on for extended time with the power saving
Tecno Boom J8 will be launch any moment from now
and if you really want to have a feel of this HiOS, then
your next target device should be Tecno Boom J8. The Hios
download is already available for Tecno Camon C8 users but
in beta version.

According to Reviews mag, The name itself ‘Hi’ is just ideal, a wonderful prefix, not like the
Infinix’s user interface the XUI. Hi is a welcoming note asking you
how you feel and then offering you a couple of awesome features.
Thank you Tecno Mobile, I really love the HiOS user interface.
Everything just goes well with the HiOS, the feel, the elegance, the
touch, power manager, spam blocking and what else do you need
to know of the HiOS user inetrafce for the Tecno Mobile’s HiOS for
Tecno gadgets.
The ability to change the font style, the icon look, the wallpapers,
the themes that come in plenty that can be downloaded from a
wide variety. Why head over for a third party launcher that ‘eats’ up
your phone’s system resources when the HiOS does just more
than that?
Not many launchers come with the blocking feature. By this I don’t
mean that HiOS is a launcher no, but it serves the purpose of a
launcher and takes over the overall design not leaving anything
out. HiOS has this feature, a spammy caller/people’s doctor to get
rid of all these people you’re sick of. They refer to it as harassing
callers . I have been a victim of such people, you occasionally get a
call from people you have idea about and they just get onto your
nerves. Tecno Mobile’s HiOS is the best medicine for such
mediocre people. Just list them and you’re done with their
nonsense. What a wonderful user interface that does up to the
caller app’s work that include blocking and so.
The HiOS is also believed be having a HiManager a power
management setting. This not only allows you to manage your
battery capacity, it also largely empowers your battery to give you
much more juice from that battery that at one time you really
dispise. Not all gadegts have the 4000+ mAh battery capcity. And
if it has such, you also need a power manager. Power Manager on
the HiOS enables your device to run for much more time (run for a
longer duration) than normal. It will surely boost your battery by
disabling any background activity when not in use. And one
improtant thing is that you can set the minimum power setting up
on which power saver mode should automatically be enabled to
extend your device for a longer time even on a 10% capacity.
Wallpapers, sometimes you search all over the web for just a
better wallpaper but not to find one. Tecno HiOS custom user
interface gives you advanced, elegant and better illustrated
wallpaper that surely will make you feel better. I believe with the
HiOS you can set up screens of any number on your devices
where you can additionally place the app shortcuts on every
screen.
From leaked images, the HiOS Hi Manager gives you greater
power to accelerate and speed up your phone and rid any
bqackground running apps, clear and junk files that might have
remained after uninstalling and unwanted app from your device.
The mobile clean up allows simple app optimization that not only
improves speed but also improves overall device performance.
There apps that drain much of the system resources and primary
memory which when cleaned can speed up a slaggish device. And
this is the way to go with the Hi Manager.
Hi Manager does not only accelerate overall device performance, it
does a couple of other significant and useless actions apary from
optimization. Bandwidth management is another key feature we
see on the Tecno HiOS Hi Manager list. Bandwidth manager allows
you to manage your bandwidth. By setting bandwidth for your
monthly usage you’re capable of achieving optimal performance.
But when bandwidth used is too much and not often cleareed your
phone is deemed to perform poorly and slow to a given extent.
The bandwidth management on the HiOS’s Hi Manager is the
solution to getting everything working just fine. With the HiOS you
can keep checking on the Hi Manager and Bandwidth
Management to accelerate overall performance. You can
significantly manage and monitor your overall device traffic.
Auto-start Manager is another important feature of the Hi Manager
to note. Auto start apps are always esential to the system. Those
that are not essential if you don’t have a good user interface like
the HiOS, or a launcher for that case, you cannot access the auto
start apps. These can sometimes strain the phone. The best then
is to get rid of those apps that are not really essential to the
system to limit resource usage. This feature if not wrong can only
be found in this customized friendly user interface from Tecno
Mobile the Tecno HiOS.

Xiaomi Is Planning To Launch A Foldable Smartphone – Video

Published

on

Xiaomi is definitely one brand we should keep an eye on this year. After the successful launch of their Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 They have been working round the clock to release amazing devices and the awesome part about it is that they even have plans of coming to Africa permanently this year.

Xiaomi Foldable Phone

The first video of Xiaomi’s foldable smartphone was posted by popular twitter leakster @evleaks earlier in January but has now be confirmed by Xiaomi’s president Lin Bin, who tested out the device on camera.

The smartphone can be folded both sides, quickly converting the tablet to a portable android smartphone. This means that, when both sides aren’t in use what is left looks like a wide, smartphone-like device complete with curved edges on either side.

This is definitely a nice move from Xiaomi. I wonder what this device would be called. We’ll have to wait till the Mobile World Conference holding in February to find out.

Take a look at the video below and tell me what you think.

Nokia 9 PureView: Expected release date, specifications, price and more

Nokia 9 PureView: Expected release date, specifications, price and more 6

Nokia 9 PureView which many have been waiting for happens to be one of the most important smartphones coming our way in 2019. As leaks have suggested, Nokia 9 PureView will be feature with five cameras on the rear, making it the world’s first smartphone with penta-lens camera setup. Here are all rumours we’ve heard surrounding Nokia 9 PureView, including its potential release date, features, specifications, and more.

Nokia 9 PureView: Expected release date, specifications, price and more 7

Nokia 9 PureView

Nokia 9 PureView is not going to look exactly  the company’s recently released lineup of devices, including the Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 8.1. Instead, the upcoming smartphone will be heavily inspired by the original Nokia 1020 but with a contemporary design.

Nokia 9 PureView: Expected release date, specifications, price and more 8

However, the current design appears to be slightly different. While a penta-lens camera system continues to be there, one can also notice bezels above and below the screen. Meanwhile, the notch is missing from the recently leaked renders.

Nokia 9 PureView: Hardware, software

Nokia 9 PureView will be powered by the previous generation Snapdragon 845 processor and not the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset. We have also learned that the phone will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Nokia 9 PureView is also said to have an in-display fingerprint scanner, first for any Nokia-branded smartphone. The phone will run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Nokia 9 PureView is code-named “Olympic”.

Nokia 9 PureView: Release date, expected price

Although not confirmed, Nokia 9 PureView might get launched sometime later this month. According to Nokia Anew’s sources, HMD Global plans to launch its next-generation flagship in late January. That would put the launch date after CES 2019 and before MWC 2019.
There’s no word at what the device might cost. Suffice to say, it will cost more than the Nokia 8 Sirocco, which was launched in India at Rs 49,999( #258,000 ).Given the Nokia 9 PureView will be the world’s first smartphone with a penta-lens camera setup, expect it cost even more.

Nokia 9 PureView: Penta-lens camera setup

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the Nokia 9 PureView will be its camera.Nokia 9 PureView with seven holes on the back of the phone, five of which house five camera lenses. The other two are for the LED Flash and proximity sensor. Each of the seven circular cutouts, arranged in what looks like a circle, appears to have the same size. Clearly, this penta-lens camera setup will be based on Zeiss’ multi-lens patented zoom camera tech. At the moment, it’s not clear how the five-lenses camera setup works.

How Google Plans On Replacing Android With Fuschia OS Soon

Published

on

You probably don’t need telling that Android is a very powerful and versatile operating system but Google is working on something that might end up as the direct replacement  – Fuschia.

How Google Plans On Replacing Android With Fuschia OS Soon 9

In this post, I’ll be explaining why Fuschia may actually replace Android
Kernels
Kernels are the core of any operating system, they provide the basic mechanisms around which the os can be built. A lot of the problems Android faces today is as a result of the fact it was built around the linux kernel whicj was not originally intended for it.
As a matter of fact,  Android OS was originally meant for digital cameras so on it’s core it isn’t exactly specialized for what a smartphone should do
So what about Fuschia?
Fuschia is based on a completely different Kernel with 2 key benefits.
1. It is designed with the smart connected feature in mind
2. It’s more specific in its code and can be built on a wide range of devices
This kernel is called Zircon .
 So what’s the benefit ?
The reason that Fuschia is powerful is that this kernel runs on completely everything from phones abd TVs to Fridges and traffic lights.
One OS for everything. As more devices enter people’s homes, this would mean seamless integration among devices.
Your music could switch to your speaker when you enter a room and continue in your car when you get in.
Also Fuschia would be built around the idea of voice commands. Less tapping , More talking.
Fuschia would also solve one of the major problems of Android which is Fragmentation.

Fragmentation
Fragmentation is the reason most Android phones don’t perform as well as their hardware is capable of.
This exists because Android is a bit of a mess. It has software, kernel and drivers all working together in a slightly different configuration on each device.
That’s why Google just can’t push an update to any device out there. These 3 aspects have to be decoupled manually.
Google has little control of how users experience Android on 95% of phones.
This is a problem because these OEMs don’t have an incentive to keep your device updated. They prefer you get a new device if you want to upgrade so they can make more money.
Fuschia is cleaner built with updates in mind. Fuschia would help Google regain control of the end user software experience.
Fuschia is also written on the Flutter software development kit which is important because this runs on Android too. This would make sure Android apps run on it. You don’t expect Google to start from scratch with the already vast library of apps and games available.

So the big question –
When will Fuschia Replace Android
Considering that brands always make the 10th version of their products seem like the peak of their current product line. Android 10 might be replaced by Fuschia OS.
If it’s not, then we should be looking at the next couple of years.

Unbelievable - Glo, 9mobile, NTEL Customers To Be Cut Off From Calling Other Networks 10
NCC has given MTN and Airtel approval to bar Glo and 9mobile customers from calling their network over failure to pay Interconnect Debt.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has granted disconnection approval to mobile network operators (MNOs) to disconnect owing colleagues over rise in interconnect debt and failure of the affected operators to pay.

Unbelievable - Glo, 9mobile, NTEL Customers To Be Cut Off From Calling Other Networks 11

NCC has asked MTN, Airtel and IHS to disconnect, on partial basis, services to Globacom, Ntel (MNOs) and interconnect exchange points including Breeze, Exchange, Solid, Medallion and Niconnx.

The implication of this development is that over 35 millions of subscribers would soon start to experience service disruptions.

While the affected operators have between the next 10 and 21 days, starting from 18th Dec to make amends or risk disconnections,

The Commission also said it has approved the Disconnection of Ntel and Globacom from the facilities of IHS in accordance with Section 103 of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 and the Guidelines on Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators.

The Commission informed that 9Mobile, Smile and Swift are also to be disconnected from IHS facilities and ATC Wireless Infrastructure Limited.

“At the expiration of 10 days from the date of this notice, subscribers on the network of Ntel and Globacom will no longer be able to make calls to Airtel and MTN, but will be able to receive calls. Furthermore, Ntel and Globacom will be disconnected from the facilities of IHS.”

Gionee Mobile Is Officially Bankrupt As Company Files For Liquidation In Court

Gionee Mobile Is Officially Bankrupt As Company Files For Liquidation In Court 12
A few weeks ago I made a post regarding Gionee’s financial woes being the possible reasons why we haven’t seen new phones from Gionee. In case you missed that post you can find it here.

The same day I made the post a Gionee Nigeria staff called me and made threats regarding the post saying they would take action against me for publishing such content which was quite laughable. I don’t take down content that is true to please any brand. I also believe he was quite oblivious of the current position of his employers so I would disregard the threat.

Gionee Mobile Is Officially Bankrupt As Company Files For Liquidation In Court 13

The news reaching me now is that the company has officially entered bankruptcy.

A court in Shenzhen has accepted the application for liquidation bankruptcy by Huaxing Bank. This may still turn into a company reorganization – Gionee hired restructuring consultants last week. Founder Liu Lirong thinks that the company can turn its fortunes around in 3-5 years.

However, Gionee owes a total of CNY 20.2 billion (around $3 billion) to 648 creditors. About half of the debt is to banks. Earlier this year the company failed to pay suppliers. Ad agencies haven’t been paid either.

The company’s money problem started when the founder and chairman Liu lost a CNY 1 billion bet in a casino.

Liu admitted in the interview that Gionee’s total debts amount to 17 billion yuan ($2,447,065,000), with 10 billion yuan($1,439,450,000) of this owed to banks, 5 billion yuan($719,725,000) to upstream suppliers and about 2 billion to advertising agencies.

If nothing spontaneous happens in 3 – 5 years and the executives can’t avoid gambling, this will be the end of Gionee Electronics and Smartphones.
